Proud to be Thrasher Panthers!

This fall as the new second grade students have become acquainted, we have discussed that while they are each unique, they are united as Thrasher Panthers.

Getting to Know You in Classroom Guidance

What can every student do, is easier for some than others, doesn't involve physically touching someone, but DOES touch everyone?

Give up?

It's a SMILE!

Across the grade levels in classroom guidance, I've been doing fun ice breaker activities with the students to help them on their way to starting new friendships in their classrooms. For some, a smile comes naturally and easily. For others, it needs to be practiced and encouraged as their confidence grows. It is a skill and a strategy that can be used in the classroom, on the playground, or any time in new situations. A smile puts others at ease and is a sign of respect and affirmation.

Thrasher students have beautiful smiles! Enjoy them. I know I have been!
