Beginning of year News:
Thanks for your patience as we begin another school year. Buses are arriving earlier every morning and afternoon. Car pick up was completed in 10 minutes on Thursday. When all of our kindergarten students phase in next Friday, we will feel like the school year has really begun. Please remember guests cannot come to lunch until the third week. Please have your child tell his/her teacher when you ae joining us for lunch. This way we can include your lunch choice on the lunch count. Remember, no lunches can be brought in from McDonalds, Taco Bell, etc. or soft drinks for guests or students. Students and guests can bring a lunch from home.
Bus stop requests must be submitted on line. The request line is www.hcde.org/transportation . If you have a bus concern, please tell me. The good news is that every bus now has two cameras. This is for the safety of the students and driver.
Homework that is requested can be found outside the office on the ledge after 3:00. We only have the teachers send down work when it is requested. Please remember that fron doors are locked at 4:00 p.m.
A huge thank you to Beth Wardeberg and Tracey Peele. They worked all summer on the new playground. We are anxious for some cooler days so the childern can enjoy it to the fullest. Plans are to seed the area in late September when it is not so hot and dry.
Kudos to the families who participated in our workday prior to registration. Joining grounds's chairman, Terry Roseman, were Mary and Evan Roseman, the Peeles, the Thelen's, the Sinor's, Tom and Marth Anne Turner, Connie McDade, Bill and Jean Trohanis. Warren Sinor also returned the next week to paint all our curbs. Thank You!
Remember ONLY students who have registered for Childcare this school year can attend. Childcare cannot legally keep any child that is not enrolled. If you work off the mountain, I would suggest you enrol. You never know when traffic will come to a standstill and you cannot get to school by 3:10.
